Design Week magazine positioned Newark's design studio, Atelier Works, as one of the 25 'most creative' studios in Britain. Newark's design projects include a sundial for the Houses of Parliament, award-winning catalogues for the Tate and graphics for the renovated Roundhouse. He has judged and chaired numerous design competitions and award schemes, and has recently lectured in Oslo and Budapest. He was chosen as one of the "leading graphic designers in Britain" by The Independent. His first book about design, "What is graphic design?", has reprinted for the second time and has just been published in Spanish and French.
